About Those Kinds of People

The focus of this corner of the internet is to emphasize beauty in humble things.  Louisa May Alcott wrote, “The power of finding beauty in the humblest things makes home happy and life lovely.”  I believe that your home and mine can be influenced for good and become safe havens, lovely and happy spaces for our families to grow, to be nurtured, and to flourish in their God-given capacities.

Our family is a family of broken fools, chasing after dreams and Christ.

Beauty seekers.  Laughter spillers.  Poetry drinkers.

We’ve got four kids, three boys and one lone girl.  They’re adventurous, curious, and highly verbal and opinionated beings.

We wouldn’t trade their opinions and vocal calisthenics for the world.

But I might pay big money for a moment of quiet once in awhile.

We’re troubadours of God’s grace and mercy to imperfect people.  We dream huge, fantastical dreams—-and God works through those dreams to weld together a crazy

storyart..

We love color, art, music, spice, stories, coffee, tea, world cultures, and nature.  Lifelong learners we are.
