My camera has been put away for far too long.  My writing as well.  So has my pen and my list of gratitude.

I noticed this past weekend a direct correlation between my tendency to complain and worry and the lack of intentional gratitude in my life.

And I resolved to form a habit of gratitude once again.

“Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”

–Aristotle

I want to be a person known for her ridiculous joy in what she has been given.  I want to be known to breathe thanksgiving, to exhale pleasure in God’s provision.

So, I’m off to write down some things I have to be thankful for.
